"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women
merely players." As You Like It - William Shakespeare
We have been commissioned to produce exciting and dynamic scenarios and playlets for many of our clients. From bringing real-world meaning to new legal processes in seminars attended by fifty-five people, through to a costumed storytelling of the new vision and mission to a conference of four hundred store managers, we have the experience and creativity to bring life into your communication that people will remember long after the event is over.
Case Study #1: Mothercare PLC: Annual Business Conference

Mothercare PLC wanted an exciting and dynamic piece of conference theatre to reflect the new vision and strategies their business journey over the last thirty years. The piece also needed to convey a new business philosophy, drive and commitment for the whole organisation.
Corporate Drama researched and produced a highly interactive costumed drama, incorporating audience participation, digital video media and a theme that perfectly complimented the business thinking behind the event.
What our client said:
The
Corporate Drama team supported us recently at our business conference - which a number of delegates have rated as being 'the best yet!' Mark and his team worked hard to build relationships, understanding our business culture, and the objectives of the work we had embarked upon. This was invaluable, helping to deliver a result we were delighted with!
Claire Tiney HR Director. Mothercare.
Case Study #2: Barclays Africa: Pan-African Leadership Conference

Our brief was to scope, devise and cast an Industrial Theatre piece to interrupt a Top 50 Leadership Seminar in Johannesburg. The client's key business drivers behind the play were poor customer service, entrenched behaviours, existing processes and cultural barriers; this represented a real logistical challenge. This drama had to deliver a strong business message to all eleven African Countries attending the event. Initial concepts were developed using
Corporate Drama team members in the UK. We then set about scripting the 25-minute Industrial theatre piece in collaboration with the client. We cast the play using local Johannesburg business actors, directed by
Corporate Drama's director Mark Huggins. The play featured business actors posing as conference waiters who, seemingly out of nowhere, told the story of a disenfranchised customer before an unsuspecting and riveted audience.
What our client said:
Mark was commissioned to produce a live insert to a high profile Leadership conference, and had only three weeks to turn my vague idea into a brilliantly-executed live performance. In that time he held a creative scoping workshop, wrote the script, cast the actors from five thousand miles away, and then directed and acted in the event.
The performance sought to highlight the impact on customers of poor service and inadequate processes and it worked superbly. Combining humour, drama and carefully researched detail on both the services and cultural influences involved, the resulting performance touched many a nerve in the audience and prompted serious debate on the level of our customer offering.

Case Study #3: Irwin Mitchell: Top 10 Tips Seminar & Partners' Meeting Forum Theatre

Irwin Mitchell Solicitors wanted a high-impact addition to a series of internal and client focused business seminars. The "Top 10 Tips" seminar explored the complex relationships between in-house lawyers and external law firms. An Industrial Theatre piece showing the results of poor communications and lack of customer-focus in developing these relationships sparked the workshop phase of the seminar. Using Forum Theatre, we allowed the seminar audience to coach the
Corporate Drama actors, establishing new best practice behaviours in client relationships.
Following the success of the Top Ten seminar,
Corporate Drama were invited to produce more scenarios and used the same dynamic format for the series of Business Partners' Meetings, highlighting new business benchmarks when conducting internal performance reviews.
What our client said:
Our heartfelt thanks to you and your team for your hard work, enthusiasm and willingness to "muck in" with us on our recent Top 10 Tips Seminar. We have received some wonderful feedback, including
"the best seminar I have ever attended."
We were very impressed at your ability to pick up and run with the varied legal issues within the forum theatre sessions. We very much enjoyed working with you and look forward for opportunities so that we can repeat the experience!
